HISTORY
Mandagon started life as a small side project for Blind Sky’s artist Tom Kitchen - But while discussing the idea to publish a small game to get to grips with the inner working of Steam, the team saw potential in the early version of Mandagon and began working to develop it into what would become Blind Sky Studios fist full PC/Mac release.
Mandagon launched on August 4th 2016 to a very warm reception. Receiving 10,000+ downloads in its first day alone. Then 100,000+ in the following week. Mandagon currently sits at 400,000+ downloads with 3,500+ overall very positive user reviews.
Recently Blind Sky Studios have been working on bringing the Mandagon experience to Android so players can enjoy it on the go. We rebuilt the control system from the ground up and optimized where ever we could to give players the best possible experience with Mandagon on Android.
Mandagon for Android launched on October 7th 2017.
Currently Blind Sky Studios are in the process of prototyping their next release titled Adam. An introspective look into isolation and old age. You can read more about Adam here.
Blind Sky is a little games studio based in the UK, or there abouts, fueled almost entirely by coffee.
We love video games, so we made them our life and made them our business. We endeavor to make games with a taste of humanity, whatever the genre, however big or small the project is.
Fundamentally we’re humans making things for other humans (but we do it on our computers).
Video games are a multi-dimensional media where art and music are glued together by science, its this thinking that brought us together. We’re a small team, there’s only four of us right now. We work very closely when discussing (arguing about) our current projects and potential concepts, developing trails of thought that would have been impossible working individually.
